There’s a reason so many of my clients struggle to find tops that fit their vibe — and I think it’s because there are just too many options out there. It’s overwhelming to sift through racks and piles and endless scrolling to find something that feels worth the investment and be worn multiple times without being overdone. Typically a top is usually the first thing you notice in an outfit, so it needs to do a lot: look cool and chic, maybe make a statement, be comfortable to wear all day, and pair easily with pretty much any bottom. Is that too much to ask?! No wonder tops are always the hardest to shop for!

I think we all need help when choosing tops curated for your vibe so let me take the stress out of finding the perfect one. Here’s my spring transitional and summer tops roundup plus how and where to wear them — with an added bonus of fun accessories! Classic pieces you’ll want in your closet.

Trigger warning — I packed this post with goodies.

I size up but you could take your normal size. When thinking of the perfect top, this tee is what I think of because you can wear it with any bottom or layered under a sweater or jacket. And then if you had to start your basics collection over, this tank (use code ALEXLAMB10) is something I would grab for a really great elevated summer look. Also this unique top for something more chic and unexpected. Lastly, I love this basic for a tank top that is universally flattering and you can wear multiple times a week in multiple ways (with shorts, jeans, under a sweater, with a skirt, under a denim shirt, etc.).
